Prairie Pride Chorus present Watershed Stories
October 16, 2005

The Prairie Pride Chorus is not a typical choir. Nor is the music they sing quite conventional choral music. The name of the game is diversity, and Watershed Stories proves that in spades. In keeping with the wide variety of experience within the gay and lesbian community, David McIntyre has created a choral work where no two songs are alike. From a cappella Russian Orthodox church music to ragtime, baroque fugue to jazz waltz, minimalist murmurings to country hoe-down, the breadth of stylistic range in this work is rare among choral compositions.
