“We are journeying together in God’s love . . .
to discover, nurture, and share our gifts.”
Trinity Sunday—May 30, 2010
This morning we welcome Angie Irvine as our Worship Leader.
As we enter the Season after Pentecost, we encounter again the God who creates and delights in us, loves us, frees us, calls us, and equips us for discipleship. On this Trinity Sunday, the texts invite exploration of three aspects of the Divine Presence: Creator, Wisdom, and Spirit. They create an image of a delightful relationship among the persons of the Trinity, who call us to live and move and have our being in God.
If you would like to stay seated for any or all of the “standing” parts of the service, please feel free to do so.
Need a refuge? Our Nursery is located off Memorial Hall, has a speaker system through which to hear the service, and exists for all who may need this space. Memorial Hall approach is via the pulpit side exit.
Prelude / Sharing Announcements / A Time of Greeting
Call to Worship (Responsive)
One: We live at mystery's edge watching for a startling luminescence or a word to guide us.
All: In fragile occurrence the Holy is and we must pause...
One: Daily, there are glimmers, reflections of a seamless mercy revealed in common intricacies.
All: These circles of grace spill out around us and announce that we are part of this mystery.
We are called to worship together in peace. We are called to listen carefully and act faithfully. We are called to value church members, young and old equally. We are called to create peace sensitively, and to maintain peace enthusiastically, in our homes, in our faith community, in our turbulent word. Amen.

All: Jesus, living and dying … (time for silent reflection)

He’s the 65 year old, Trinity United Church member seeking billeting while riding his bicycle across Canada, raising funds for Thyroid Cancer research. Gary is on a very humble expedition saying it’s all about smiling and strength and a journey of “Hope, Faith, and Attitude.” If you wish to read more about Gary’s journey, log onto http://garybiking.blogspot.com
