Finances - Partners in Ministry

Your donations enable Westminster United Church to make a difference in many areas. Please note that we issue all tax receipts at year-end. You can support the ministries of the church in several ways:

Pre-Authorized Remittance (PAR)

If you have automatic debits from your bank account to pay for insurance, cable TV, taxes, fuel, or a mortgage, then you understand the PAR principle. It means regular contributions throughout the year that make it easy to donate to Westminster United Church.  The PAR Brochure [pdf 2 pp/27 KB] contains information for the contributor and an application form for registration.

In Memory
This is a truly meaningful way to acknowledge that you remember someone close to you, and to express your sympathy and respect to surviving family members and friends. We will notify the family of your donation.

In Honour
A caring and significant way to honour a friend, relative or colleague is to recognize a special occasion in their life with a gift of faithful stewardship.  

Planned Giving
You can secure our ministry for future generations and save taxes with gifts of stock, life insurance, annuities, trusts and bequests.

Your time and talents. Volunteer opportunities abound, from giving professional advice to stuffing envelopes to baking cookies.  Gifts in kind. Church School supplies. Auction items. Furnishings and office equipment.
